In honor of National Poetry Month and Independent Bookstore Day, please join us for our first ever poetry festival! Readings by featured poets, open mic session, and writing exercises will all be part of the celebration. Refreshments will be provided.

MEET THE POETS

cathy barber: Cathy Barber is a graduate of the Vermont College of Fine Arts MFA program. Her first full length book is Once: A Golden Shovel Collection (Kelsay Books, 2023). She loves puzzles!

danny caine: Danny Caine is the author of four poetry collections, most recently Picture Window (Autofocus Books, 2023)

sujata lakhe: Sujata grew up in one steel city in India and immigrated to another in Ohio to pursue her studies in RNA Molecular Biology. Through her work on the Literary Cleveland board, she helps elevate marginalized voices. She strives to promote and improve access to nutritious plant-based whole foods through her work on the board of Vitamix Foundation.

zach savich: Zach Savich's latest book is the poetry collection Momently (Black Ocean 2024). He teaches at the Cleveland Institute of Art.

catherine wing: Catherine Wing is the author of two collections of poetry, Enter Invisible and Gin & Bleach. She teaches at Kent State University and with the NEOMFA, the nation’s only consortial program in Creative Writing.
